Maksim Fadeev is a legend of modern war documentaries. No one captures combat in Donbass as up close as he does.

Maksim Fadeev has been documenting the war since 2014, when the Ukrainian forces began shelling his hometown of Slavyansk. In the RT Documentary film ‘Fadeev’s Battle for Truth’, he shares what he finds most terrifying about his work and how he copes with the loss of friends, the heroes of his films. He also offers insights from his research on how war reporting has evolved from World War I to the present day.
